Begin your spiritual journey from Haridwar. Drive to Barkot (7-8 hours, 220 km) via Mussoorie, enjoying scenic views. Enroute, visit Kempty Falls. Check into a comfortable hotel in Barkot for an overnight stay.
Drive to Jankichatti (50 km), then trek or take a pony/palki to Yamunotri Temple (6 km). Offer prayers at the sacred shrine of Goddess Yamuna. Return to Barkot for overnight stay.
Travel from Barkot to Uttarkashi (100 km, 4-5 hours). Visit Vishwanath Temple and explore the serene town. Overnight stay in Uttarkashi, preparing for Gangotri.
